Navigation data

The IT systems and the software procedures that allow the operation of this web site, during their normal operation, acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. The above-mentioned information is not collected to be associated with identified people, but, as they are, may allow the identification of the users, by means of processing and association activities with the data that are held by third parties. This data category includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers of the users that connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method that is used to submit the request to the server, the size of the reply file, the numeric code that specifies the status of the server reply (correct, error, etc.) and other parameters that concern the operating system and the IT environment of the user. The previously mentioned data are used only to obtain statistical information about the use of the site and to check its correct operation. Data may be used to ascertain responsibilities in case of alleged computer-related crimes to the detriment of the site. The user willingly provides the data. The optional, explicit and willing sending of e-mails to the addresses that are specified in this site will imply the following acquisition of the sender’s address, which is necessary to reply to the requests, as well as of the other personal data, if any, which are included in the e-mail. Specific summary documents will be progressively included or displayed in site pages that deal with particular services on demand.

No personal data of the users are acquired by the site on the subject. Cookies are used to send the information that is necessary for site operation; the so-called persistent cookies can be applied for the use of automatic login functions, or rather user tracking systems. The use of the so-called session cookies (that are not stored in a persistent way in the computer of the user and disappear when closing the browser) is limited to the transmission of session ID codes (formed by casual numbers generated by the server), which are necessary to allow the safe and efficient exploration of the site. The so-called session cookies that are used in this site prevent other IT techniques from being applied, which can potentially damage the confidentiality of user navigation, and do not allow the acquisition of the user’s identification personal data.

Apart from what is specified about navigation data, the user is free to supply his/her personal data to SIG Società Italiana Gomma S.p.a to request marketing material or for other communications. If the above-mentioned personal data are not provided, it may be impossible to obtain the required material.

The people connected with the personal data have the right, at any time, to obtain the confirmation about the existence, if any, of the same data and to know the relevant content and origin, check their accuracy or ask to supplement or to update the data, or rather to correct them (sect. 7 of the Italian Legislative Decree D.Lgs. no. 196/2003 und Reg. UE 2016/679). Pursuant to the same section, they will have the right to ask to delete, anonymize or block the data that are processed in infringement of the law, as well as to always oppose, for legitimate reasons, the relevant processing activity. The requests must be sent to SIG Società Italiana Gomma S.p.a with registered office in Gorla Minore (VA), Italy.
